SpeedDock Installation Guide
1. Put the numbered pontoons together in order.
Pull out all the items and place them on a Flat Level Surface. Make sure all the cubes are Orientated in the same manner. Each corner of the Cube has a tongues which is set at different height. These tongues slot into position with the adjacent cubes. The Height/Position of the tongues is identified by a small round dot on the corner of the Floats.
- One round Dot indicates that the tongue is positioned in the first position. The tongue will be positioned at the very top.
- Two round Dots indicates that the tongue is positioned in the second position. The tongue will be positioned second down from the top.
- Three round Dots indicates that the tongue is positioned in the third position. The tongue will be positioned third down from the top.
- Four round Dots indicates that the tongue is positioned in the fourth position. The tongue will be positioned fourth down from the top, it will be at the very bottom of the configuration.
2. Make up a Square with four Floats.
Connect the Parts by Aligning and Stacking the floats in the correct number order and you will form a square with four pontoons.
3. Insert a Short pin into the hole in the center.
Notice the hole found in the center of the four cubes. Insert the short pin into the hole. Use a rubber Mallet, or your foot to hammer the pin into position. The Pin must be completely Flus hwith the top of the Floats.
4. Fasten the Short Pin with the Spanner.
Then Fasten the pin using a spanner to lock it into place. Insert the Spanner into the holes in the short pin, and rotate the pin 22 degrees to lock.
It is best to install the length of the dock from top to bottom First. Then add the U Floats. And then last connect the square Floats down the far side of the Dock.
Short Pins and V Pins will not turn and Lock into place if the floats tongues are not in the correct position.
5. Add the U Floats.
The “U-Floats” connect to the Square Floats in the same manner. Each “U-Float” has the same “Dots” in each Corner.
a) “U-Floats” without Rollers are connected using a “Short Pin”.
b) “U-Floats” with Rollers are connected using a “V – Pin”.
c) When “U-Floats” with Rollers are connected “U-Floats” without Rollers a “V – Pin”. is also Used.
d) When “V-Floats” and Ramp Floats are used, V-Pins are used to connect the Floats.
Where V-Floats and “U-Floats” Connect to the top of the Dock, a Short Pin is Used.
6. Quad Floats and Double Floats.
When using Quad and Double Floats. Use the “Dots” on the four corners of the Floats to Orientate the Floats with the “U-Floats” and Single Floats.
These Floats will require washers to connect them to the U-Floats and V-Floats.
7. Docks with Missing Floats.
Docks with Gaps in them may also require washers.
Note that the washers are not able to be installed in the fourth position.
8. Add Nuts and Bolts to the Perimeter.
Reinforce the floats connections by placing screws where the floats connect. A thick washer will be needed on one side of the Docks. The Screws are very difficult to undo so make sure your dock is assembled correctly before you tighten them. The nuts may loosen with the movment of the waves, please tighten them as required.
9. Tighten Screws And Nuts and your dock is ready to use.
